TeleCube

Winter, 2007

This is not your typical tele ski movie. Instead of exciting scenes of amazing tele skiers, skiing amazing lines, you get an infomercial about a product that can help you make movies with amazing tele skiers, skiing amazing line. The story was written by Jason and Chris and it pokes fun at technology and how easy it has made it for anyone to make a tele movie. You will follow Jason and he explains how to use his new product the TeleCube. While the movie depicts the TeleCube as a high tech device, it really is a wood block crafted in Jason's basement and spray painted silver. Spray painting, or rattle canning, became the theme of all the props made for the movie. Any house hold item became a technological wonder as soon as it was rattle canned silver. And then of course there was Chris and his fake tan and bad hair. The movie was made around Halloween, so there was no problem finding the items needed to pull off Chris' look. There was so much fake tan on Chris, Jason had to put some on just not to look to white. The hilarious movie ends with a bang when Jason shows Chris how the TeleCube captures media. There are two ending, a long and a short version. The short version was created so that the movie would be closer to ten minutes in length so it would be eligible for the NET Film Fest Competition. In the end the Hairy Doughnuts managed to create a hilarious movie that once again breaks all stereotypes of what a tele movie should be.
